A few minutes later, I emerged from the tailor’s shop feeling much better. My tie and shirt were now the perfect length, and I could finally breathe easily. I knew that I was ready for the next meeting, and I felt much more confident in myself.
The next day, I arrived at the office early with my new attire on. I could feel everyone looking at me differently, and I knew it was because of my new tie and shirt. I sat at my desk, feeling proud of myself, and ready to take on the day’s challenges.
As the day went on, I noticed that my boss and colleagues were looking at me differently too. They were smiling at me more often, and I could feel that they were more comfortable around me. I knew that my new tie and shirt had made a difference, and it was a good one.
Later that day, my boss called me into his office. He looked at me and said, “Nice tie and shirt, by the way. I noticed you’ve made a bit of an effort with your appearance lately.” I smiled and said, “Thank you, sir. I wanted to look my best for work.” He nodded and said, “Good, good. We all want to look our best for work.”
As I left his office, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment wash over me. I knew that my long tie and shirt problem was finally solved, and I could finally feel comfortable and confident in my own skin at work.
