One day, I was dressing up for a business meeting when I suddenly realized that the clip of my tie was missing. Finally, I left the store with my refund intact but without a tie clip. I knew that I could not go to the meeting without one so I decided to make my own tie clip out of a safety pin. It was not as fancy as the ones I had seen in the store, but it would have to do.
The next morning, I put on my tie and attached the homemade tie clip to it. As I walked to the meeting, I felt confident that this time nothing would fall off. However, as I sat down at the meeting table, I felt something strange again. I looked down and there was my homemade tie clip lying on the table! I was so embarrassed that I immediately took it off and put it back on my tie. This time, I made sure to secure it properly so that it would not fall off again.
Later that day, as I was cleaning up my office, I found the original tie clip that I had lost! It had been hiding in my desk drawer all along! I was so relieved that I decided to keep it as a souvenir of my experiences with tie clips that day. From that day on, I have always been careful to secure my tie clips properly before wearing them so that they do not fall off again. And if they do fall off, at least now I know where to find them!
