Last Friday, our school held a drama performance, and I was so nervous before the show. I was about to be on stage for the first time, and I was afraid that I would make a mistake or embarrass myself. But as soon as I walked on stage, I felt a surge of confidence that overcame my fears.
The play was about a young man named John who wanted to propose to his girlfriend, Lily. However, he was too nervous to do so, so he decided to practice proposing by pulling ties. In the play, John would go up to people and pull their ties, and they would react in different ways. Some would be angry, some would laugh, and others would even call the police.
The role I played was one of the people that John pulled a tie from. I was sitting in the audience, watching the show with my friends, when suddenly John came up to me and pulled my tie. I was so surprised that I didn't know what to do for a second, but then I realized that it was just a play and that I should react like it was real. So, I got up and walked away, laughing at how silly it was.
One of the most memorable scenes in the play was when John finally proposed to Lily. He had been practicing by pulling ties all day, and he thought that he was ready to do it. However, when he got up on stage and said the words "I love you, Lily," he stumbled and said it so awkward that everyone laughed. It was so funny that I even laughed out loud, even though I knew that it was just a play.
Overall, the play about tie-pulling was a great success. It brought everyone together, and it was a fun way to spend an evening. The actors were all great, and they made the play even better with their performances. I think that everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was definitely worth watching.
As for me, I learned a lot from this experience. I learned that being on stage is not as scary as I thought it was going to be, and that I can do it too if I put my mind to it. The play also made me realize that making mistakes is okay as long as you learn from them and move on. So, if there is another play or performance opportunity in the future, I will definitely not hesitate to participate again.
