Once inside the room, the Tie Ghost turned to Alice and his face twisted into a horrible grin. He reached out and grabbed her by the throat, squeezing tightly. "Why did you have to die?" he screamed at her. "Why couldn't you have just stayed away from here?"
Alice could feel her lungs burning as she struggled to breathe. She tried to speak but could only manage a muffled scream. The Tie Ghost laughed cruelly and released her, pushing her to the ground.
As Alice lay there, gasping for breath, she heard the Tie Ghost muttering something about revenge and destruction. She knew that she had to get out of the room alive, but how could she do it? The Tie Ghost was too strong, too fast.
Just as Alice thought she was about to die, she felt something brush against her cheek. It was a feather from an old hat that had been left in the room. Alice grabbed the feather and used it to scratch the Tie Ghost's face. The Tie Ghost howled in pain and anger, releasing Alice. He lunged at her but missed, catching only the feather in his mouth.
Alice ran out of the room as fast as she could, leaving the Tie Ghost behind. She made it back to her room just in time to collapse onto her bed, panting for breath. She looked at the feather in her hand and knew that it was what saved her life. She wrapped it up carefully and placed it under her pillow for safe keeping.
The next day, Alice reported what had happened to the head of the household. He took her seriously and sent for an exorcist to deal with the Tie Ghost once and for all. The exorcist came and performed a series of rituals that were designed to dispel evil spirits. The Tie Ghost appeared to be weakening but he still managed to cause some damage to the mansion before he was finally banished back to the netherworld from whence he came.
Alice never forgot the terror she felt that night or the courage she showed in facing it down. She lived out her days as a faithful servant of the mansion, always looking out for signs of evil that might be brewing beneath its roof. And whenever she found someone wearing a tie that reminded her of the Tie Ghost, she always made sure to keep her distance, for fear that he might return to haunt her again.
