Procedure:

1、History of Ties: Show students a PowerPoint or video about the history of ties, explaining how they became popular and the different eras in which they were fashionable. Let students ask questions and discuss the history they have learned.

2、Styles of Ties: Bring in samples of different styles of ties for students to see and touch. Explain the differences between each style and discuss which styles are popular now versus which were popular in the past. Ask students to share their thoughts on the different styles they have seen.

3、Purposes of Wearing a Tie: Give each student a Purpose of Ties worksheet with various scenarios in which ties are worn (e.g., business, formal events, weddings). Let them circle the appropriate reasons for wearing a tie in each scenario. Discuss their answers as a class and add any additional reasons that may have been missed.

4、Tying a Tie: Provide each student with a Tie-tying instructions sheet showing step-by-step instructions for tying a tie properly. Have them follow the instructions and tie their own ties while you monitor for correct technique and provide help as needed. Discuss any common mistakes made during the tying process and correct them together as a class if possible. 5. Extension Activities : Organize a tie-tying contest among classmates to see who can tie their own ties the fastest and most accurately . Provide prizes for winners and discuss their techniques with the entire class . Encourage students to wear ties to school on designated days to show their classmates their style choices .
