We all know that a properly tied tie can make a man look more attractive and confident. However, many of us struggle with the art of tying a tie. Don’t worry, though, as it is a skill that can be learned. In this article, I will show you how to tie a tie using several different knots.
The first knot we will learn is the Basic Knot. This is the most common type of tie knot and it is easy to tie. Here are the steps:
1、Start with a long tie.
2、Cross the short end of the tie over the long end.
3、Pass the short end through the loop you have created.
4、Tighten the knot by pulling on both ends of the tie.
The next knot we will learn is the Double Knot. This knot is slightly more complicated than the Basic Knot, but it creates a more secure tie that will not loosen easily. Here are the steps:
1、Start with a long tie.
2、Cross the short end of the tie over the long end and pass it through the loop you have created.
3、Repeat this process with the other end of the tie.
4、Tighten the knots by pulling on both ends of the tie.
Another popular knot is the Windsor Knot. This knot is named after its inventor, Sir Edward Windsor. It is a little more difficult to tie than the Basic Knot or Double Knot, but it creates a very symmetrical and attractive tie. Here are the steps:
1、Start with a long tie.
2、Cross the short end of the tie over the long end and pass it through the loop you have created.
3、Bring the short end up through the back of the tie and pass it through the second loop you have created.
4、Tighten the knots by pulling on both ends of the tie.
Finally, we will learn the Truss Knot. This knot is often used in formalwear as it creates a very neat and secure tie. Here are the steps:
1、Start with a long tie.
2、Cross the short end of the tie over the long end and pass it through the loop you have created.
3、Bring the short end up through the back of the tie and pass it around both sides of the long end once before passing it back through the original loop from Step 2 on its way to being tied off at the necktie’s end collar point (this step can be tricky – practice makes perfect). 4. Tighten by pulling gently on both ends until satisfied with result; if necessary, use small tweezers or similar tool to help guide knot into place while securing it firmly against your shirt collar before finally trimming any excess length from both ends if desired appearance achieved.”
